Bookings Available
NZOSTRICHCORP has additional capacity for a limited number of selected new clients for the coming breeding season. Egg production commences in August and the first export consignments will be available for dispatch early October.
Chick Weight
Chicks range from a minimum of 700g to over 1kg. The average weight is approximately 850g.
Identification
All chicks are individually neck-tagged and are accompanied with a parentage pedigree going back up to three generations. A schedule is also provided confirming chick weights.
Species
The majority of chicks are of pure African Black origin. However, there are available some blue/black crosses.
Price
The price is available on application and includes packaging in IATA approved crates on aircraft, Auckland Airport New Zealand. Each crate contains 42 chicks. The price includes government agricultural inspection and documentation fees.
Payment Terms
Terms are letter of credit or bank draft prior to shipment. Bank details are as follows: NZOSTRICHCORP Ltd, WestpacTrust, Manukau City branch, account number 030207 0142671 00.
Freight Costs
The client has the choice of organising their own air freight costs or using NZOSTRICHCORP as agent. NZOSTRICHCORP undertakes to obtain the best quote on behalf of the client and will provide evidence of actual cost. There is no margin for this service.
Chick Guarantee
All chicks are guaranteed to be in good health and have no physical defects. NZOSTRICHCORP will also provide a guarantee to replace, free of charge, any chick mortality that exceeds 5% in a consignment provided that all standard airline connections, livestock regulations and due care is provided. It is, however, recommended that the client considers insurance in the event of accident or negligence on the part of the carrier.
Number Availability
Hatching is programmed to a two week cycle. Up to 400 chicks will be available at any one hatch. Chicks are supplied, mixed sex, at hatching.
